Facade lighting of NECC Bahrain: Directional spotlights create a precise cross-light pattern, structuring the large-scale facade in combination with colored LED illumination.

NECC, Bahrain

The NECC is the largest exhibition and event center in the Arab world. Covering an area of 150,000 square meters, it hosts a wide variety of trade shows and events in the region. 2F developed a lighting concept for the facade, which includes three integrated LED screens, each measuring 26x10 meters. The entire system is controlled through Casambi, making it highly flexible in terms of programming and control. The Ministry of Tourism in Bahrain was the client, and the architecture was handled by Tilke and Partners in Aachen. With a contract value of 5 million euros, the project was successfully completed in 2023.
