| Principles of Halogen Lighting |
We have now introduced mains voltage halogen lighting following recent technical developments in lamp production these include 230v G9 and G10 lamps which do not require a transformer.
In addition, we have a very comprehensive selection of low voltage halogen lighting products producing a crisp clean white light.Low voltage systems typically work on 12v but does operate at a higher rate of amps. Tight terminal connections are therefore essential.
All external accessories are available within our accessory catalogue. If you require technical help please contact Mr. Matthias Russegger (+43/6243/2407-46) who will be pleased to help you. |
Always observe the load rating on any transformer. Under-loading and over-loading can both cause damage to your system. For instance an overload of 5% can reduce the lamp life by 50%.
Securing a transformer to a void or cavity can create a humming or buzzing in and around the location of the transformer. This can be reduced by using rubber washers to mount the transformer. |
Always ensure that the correct dimmer type is used in your lighting system.
For products which use an electromechanical / wire wound transformer, use a dimmer switch marked as operating on the leading edge.
For products which use an electronic transformer, use a dimmer switch marked as operating on the trailing edge.
Caution: Use of the wrong dimmer will damage the dimmer and or the transformer.
It is normal for a dimmer switch to generate a small humming or buzzing noise.
